Mathew Maurer, MD, is the Arnold and Arlene Goldstein Professor of Cardiology at Columbia University Irving Medical Center. He is a general internist and geriatric cardiologist with expertise in heart failure and cardiac transplantation. Dr. Maurer also directs the Clinical Cardiovascular Research Laboratory for the Elderly and the Cardiac Amyloidosis Program at Columbia. He is passionate about providing a comprehensive holistic approach to older adults with cardiovascular disease, prioritizing functional capacity and quality of life as emerging techniques develop.
